These PGT windows were installed in my new custom designer home. They are very subpar windows and look awful. The home inspector found four windows where, "the double pane window glass panes were found to have various amounts of Coppering formed between the glass. This is usually a sign that the seal or the low E coating has failed between the two panes. This sash or glazing will most likely need to be replaced." Seventeen windows and two sliders were replaced by PGT after waiting 16 months for some of them. The installer showed up five windows short and four of the new ones were defective. I reported the defects on the replacements and I also waited months for the five windows. Eight windows were replaced with the wrong glass (noticeable by appearing green) and two visits were required for replacement. One of these replacements has a mark between them. From the photos, you should be able to see the defects. The black fixative looks very messy and uneven. Some of it is on the white vinyl and some of it is even between the panes of glass! I cleaned the windows a month after replacement and some of the black fixative came off on my cleaning cloth. Also, between the panes of glass can be seen dust, debris, manufacturing marks, suction cup marks, and scratches. Scratches, glue, gouges, and nicks can be seen on the vinyl frames. I was told this is all normal for manufacturing. The screens are extremely difficult to put in and take out. The marks have yet to be removed as there is still replacement glass needed.
